Too bad Alexa stopped supporting the IFTTT.
Noice video, mate.
Any idea on how to identify whether website owners allow data scraping or not?
I wish I watched this before buying a arduino mega
You don't hide the IP address with a domain name. You simply issue a ping command or tracert command to expose the IP address. But no mistake, cool video. Thanks.
As of August, 2024, it looks like the API for this has changed quite a bit. Is there a place we can get the updated steps and code?
it wont turn on or be recognized, please help
thanks
Me in 2024 watching this vdo 🙂
what a complete mess. back and forth starting with building it using cd drives in video one, I went and bought a UNO, 3 controllers, and 3 drives. then you went and started using a pre bought one, not the one we're building. so, what, I've just wasted all this money on the parts only to throw them away?????
This is not so easy on windows. Im a beginner at this, but it keeps giving me the "ModuleNotFoundError: No module named bs4". I have spent hours online trying to figure this out.
this is a certified hood classic.
MPY: soft reboot Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 3 SyntaxError: invalid syntax
India's neighbour countries ( Paxtan, mayanmar, sri lanka, afganistan, bangaladesh) all opposed USA and their govt. got removed by armies. Internet shut off. So I had to come here.
I did this 17 years ago with the go tinkernut

What are popular coding languages? Where do i start as a beginner?

How about data logging the odometer readings and tpms data every minute the car is on?
How about command injection? I want to send seek forward/back commands to my radio head unit (apim) when the radio comes in static. Also for instance, adding additional seat memory. Or when the driver#1/2 seat recall is pushed, change the radio and climate control to that person's favorite

I also seen in this video before 16 years the youtube situation 😂
Honestly this is just what I needed 😭
Never the I2C backpack 16x2 screens. They are horrendous. Superbad contrast, viewing angles, ghosting. You can have a VA white on black I2C/Parallel 16x2 display for the same money as these junk panels with backpack combined, and you get a cleaner form factor as well, as there is no backpack because the controller already does I2C.
hi, is this sample code available anywhere (the original link doesn't work anymore). thanks
cant call scraping illegal, thats like saying you cant film in a public place, if they dont want it to be interacted with they can pull it from the web....where it is....in the view of the public...
Great video. Thanks 🙏
Sub'd. Jeeze. Why am I just seeing this now? This is pretty cool, really great work! Being a classic BMW nut, for ODB2 stuff, we tend to use the now archaic INPA software -- which kinda sucks by today's standards. While it provides great info, it's archaic/windows dependent, and the translations are terrible. I'm gonna take what I learned here (and in video 3), install Grafana on the Pi, then see if I can't simply pump these dynamic values into Grafana for an easier gauge like display of all the car's critical data points. Like, IAT, fuel trims, o2 readings, etc. Thanks again for the inspiration.
Very cool project ! I am a beginner in Python and this was right up my alley. I think Data science is going to be my forte. Thanks so much for this !!

IT IS 2024 NOW….. Does Anybody know if this still works? I really want to do this, but if this process, using these 2 programs (that I download to my computer) if this NO LONGER WORKS, I don’t want to go through the process just to find out it doesn’t work. I’m 67 yrs old with only a moderate amount of PC knowledge, but if this still works, I can get my son or one of my grandsons to help me out, if I get stuck along the way. Thank You so much!!!
Wow! 16 years after it was uploaded, I start searching it as I need it for my son's wedding return gift
Can I hire you??
Ok, so this is amazing, thank you! How would you generalize a scraper like I want to scrape all the news sites in the world and extract the main articles?
I'd like to see you come back to UA-cam! Yours, was one of my favorite channels! Where have you been?
Fantastic video. Short and useful 👍
Precisely 13 years ago I had a Compaq PC and keyboard. Today I still feel the need for a DIY backlit keyboard on my custom PC with a HP wired keyboard. Not that I cannot afford one, but DIY gives you a different dope. You rock Mr. Tinkernut. Greetings from India.
Useless
Entertaining!
I am from Bangladesh 🇧🇩. Our hypocrite government’s openly killing innocent people. And shut down the internet for 7 days so that outside world would not know about the genocide . We badly need the internet alternative that’s why I am here .
